In 2015 I went to Paris with my friend for the 2nd time. To be honest, I was more excited to show her Paris, than her being there for the very 1st time. This time in Paris, we stayed at a friend of my friend’s brother. I always like staying at a good hotels when I travel. But my friend said as her brother had arranged this place, and stay there and save money. I didn’t mind though. We flew from Venice to Paris and reached our host’s place in the night.

The house was in a convenient location, and Metro station was 5 mins walk away. For me if I am close to metro station, anything is possible. I was so relieved to know the house we stayed was in a good location accessible to public transport. It was a small apartment with 1 bedrooms and a bathroom. There were already 3 people staying and I felt so bad that we caused some inconvenience to them. On the 1st day when we were there, I whispered to my friend saying, that we could have booked a nice hotel and why she agreed to stay there. Anyway she didn’t know the details of the place, and everyone’s intention was good. She said that we would be coming to the place in the night only to sleep so that we manage there. Our hosts were lovely people and so happy to accommodate us, and happy to provide breakfast and  dinner for us. In fact I first had French Brioche Bread at their place, and I always buy that  now in my land. (I just love French brioche bread toast, and what I buy here is not comparable to the one you get in France). I am so thankful for their hospitality. We slept on a sofa cum bed in the living area. But after long day of site seeing and lot of walking we were tired and we didn’t have any problem sleeping there. Anyway it was for 3 nights only.

This time too I bought the Paris Pass, as we were there for 4 days only before heading to Holland for rest of our stay. The happiness being in Paris for indescribable. As it was the first trip to Paris for my friend, we visited all important places. This time I acted like a good tour guide to my friend. We did have some good laugh about it. In addition to the places I visited on my last trip to Paris, this time we went to Versallies Palace, Madam Tussaud Museum and on the Scenic river cruise which I missed on my 1st visit.

Scenic cruise is a another must see, whether it’s day or night, you must cruise the seine. You will enjoy it very much. We went during the day and had a wonderful time. Our guide was very informative and added lots of information as we took our cruise. The boat goes  through number of bridges and you’ll pass numerous major attractions like Notre Damé,  Eiffel Tower etc. It was very relaxing.

Verasallies Palace is another must see place. There was a massive queue for the entrance ticket to the palace. But as the Paris pass covers the entrance ticket, we didn’t have to go through that. There was another queue for the people who already had ticket to get inside the palace. While I was trying to find the end of that queue, my friend some how joined some people who were close to the entrance and I followed them and it was our lucky day I should say, as within 15mins we were inside the palace. Audio guide was included in our ticket and it really helped us to know all details about the Palace. Hall of Mirrors at Versallies palace was my favorite. Palace garden was not included in our ticket. I know the garden is so beautiful  and good to visit. But as we had limited time and it was already late, we skipped the garden. May be in future visits I will try to see that as well.

Paris has lot of cafes, pubs and restaurant every where. I remember every evening before going to our host’s place to spend the night, we go to a pub close to their place and have a drink and chill and talk about Paris and about life. Those were beautiful memories. But to my disappointment, Paris did not impress my friend as much as it did for me. She liked Italy more. But it’s her own opinion. For me Paris would be the awesome city for ever and ever.
